Your Mood Might Be Missing Something(Literally)

Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed more and more clients have been showing up feeling off. Low energy, brain fog, mood swings, irritability, even a sense of detachment or “blah” that they can’t quite explain.

We dug a little deeper and started checking labs. Sure enough—many of them had vitamin deficiencies or were on the low end of the “normal” range for key nutrients. Once those were identified and replenished (through diet, supplements, or both), their mental clarity and mood began to noticeably improve.

We’re talking clearer thinking, more energy, fewer emotional crashes, and just an overall sense of feeling more like themselves again.

It’s a reminder that sometimes what we assume is burnout, depression, or anxiety might be our body signaling that it’s missing something essential.

But here’s the important part: Don’t start taking a bunch of supplements without getting your labs checked first.

It’s easy to think, “Oh, maybe I need more B12 or iron,” and start self-dosing—but more isn’t always better. Some vitamins can build up in your system and actually make things worse if you’re not deficient. Others work best when balanced with certain nutrients or taken at the right time.

Getting lab work done gives you a clear picture of what’s going on internally, so you’re not just guessing. And when you’re feeling mentally or physically off, having that data can be incredibly empowering.

If you’re feeling not-quite-right lately, don’t brush it off. It could be something simple, and fixable, once you have the right information.

Your mental health and physical health are deeply connected—and your body might just be asking for a little support.
